You’ve Got Questions - We’ve Got Answers

WHAT HAPPENS AT MY FIRST VISIT?

On your initial visit, the doctor will spend time with you taking a comprehensive history of your condition. Then a complete physical examination is done before a working diagnosis is developed. Imaging or lab tests may be required to confirm the working diagnosis, if medically necessary. Based on the history and exam, the doctor will then explain to you the cause of your condition. The doctor will also determine which treatment methods will be appropriate for your condition. Through a shared decision between you and the doctor, a treatment plan will be created, complete with review of relevant risks and benefits of all procedures. Treatment will then commence if you wish to proceed.

HOW MUCH DOES TREATMENT COST?

New Patient examination is $65. This includes an in depth consultation with the doctor, examination & report of findings. Treatment costs are additional depending on the musculoskeletal condition being treated, recommended treatments, and length of treatment. At SPiNE TiME Chiropractic, we promise to be transparent with our patients in terms of treatment costs and accommodate the best we can for your healthcare needs. The doctor will explain all costs before the exam and treatment begins. We are a fee-for-service practice. We accept all major credit cards.

HOW LONG IS TREATMENT TIME & HOW LONG DO I NEED TO BE TREATED?

Initial visits are 30-60 minutes, depending on severity. Follow-up visits range from 15-45 minutes, depending on treatment plans. Wellness visits are 15 minutes. Recovery time for musculoskeletal conditions vary from days to months, depending on the cause and the individual patient themselves. After the history & exam, the doctor will discuss with the patient the expected amount of time required for the condition to resolve. Treatment length will then be determined based on the needs and availability of the patient for their specific condition. This can range from days to weeks. Wellness is based on the needs of the individual patient, this can be discussed with the doctor.

DOES CHIROPRACTIC CARE HURT?

Usually, patients often find improvement immediately within the first treatment for their back pain or neck pain. Soreness, stiffness or aches may occur after manipulations, but these symptoms tend to fade within 24 hrs of treatment. Other issues will be properly monitored by the doctor as treatment progresses, should they occur.

IS CHIROPRACTIC CARE SAFE?

Chiropractic is considered one of the safest, non-invasive, and drug-free treatment option for musculoskeletal conditions. No healthcare treatment is completely free of potential adverse effects, but chiropractic has been shown to have very low risks with benefits outweighing the risks. Safety will be discussed by the doctor before treatment.

WHY IS THERE A POPPING SOUND WHEN A JOINT IS ADJUSTED?

Adjustment (or manipulation) of a joint may result in the release of a gas bubble between the joints, which makes a popping sound. The same thing occurs when you “crack” your knuckles. The noise is caused by the change of pressure within the joint, which results in gas bubbles being released. There is usually minimal, if any, discomfort involved.

HOW DOES CHIROPRACTIC BENEFIT ME AS AN ATHLETE IF I'M NOT INJURED?

In today's age of sports and recreation, waiting to treat injuries after they occur is too time-consuming and unproductive for athletes. Athletes end up spending large amounts of money and time to recover and retrain. Instead of a reactive mindset, chiropractic care takes a proactive approach by assessing and evaluating the entire body's kinetic chain through biomechanical movement patterns of athletes. This allows for early detection of potential injury risks and management with prehabilitation. As a result, athletes may benefit by improving their overall mobility, strength, stabilization, and performance skills.

DO YOU TAKE INSURANCE?

Unfortunately, we are not in network with any insurance providers. We can provide you a Super bill to submit to them for reimbursement consideration. For those with high deductible plans, treatment with us can help you meet that amount, but it is best you consult with your network provider. For Medicare eligible patients, we are a non-participating clinic, which means we do not accept assignment, but we can bill Medicare for you. However, reimbursement will be based on Medicare.
